Movin' Along.

So baby has totally started to move. I've been able to feel him for a few weeks now, but you can feel him through the belly. (he knows I'm talking about him, cause he is rollin' around like nobody's business as we speak) I let Colt feel my belly the other night when baby was super active and it freaked him out just a little bit. How do you think I feel, right? It's the most insane feeling to feel a little human in your belly doing dances and tricks. Seriously this whole thing still blows my mind. Another thing that baby is doing now-a-days is making me drink Dr. Pepper. I know, don't hate. But really, who drinks Dr. Pepper? Oh, me. I went to the gas station yesterday and for the first time I debated...Diet Coke? Or....Dr. Pepper won.

I hope everyone had a fabulous V-Day cause I certainly did! My husband always spoils me rotten and this year was no exception. I woke up to flowers and the cutest card ever (if you know me..cards are my favorite of all gifts. People can say such great things to make you feel so great. My favorite gifts.) He also got me a sweet new blow dryer which I've been complaining I "need" forever now. It's a professional one and we really do need these things right? Anyway, our tradition since we've been married has been for Colt to make me dinner on Valentines Day. It beats going out to a crowded restaurant of over-priced food because Colt is one heck of a cook. (on a side note, pregnancy is not so flattering for V-Day. Heads up ladies)

K here's my real big news. This week I am being sent to Vegas for an Anesthesia Review Course with the other assistants I work with for a few days. This isn't the cool part, just wait... and uhm, we are totally going to see Celine Dion. I know, I nearly cried when I heard the good news. I've wanted to see Celine (Elton too..oh please) since forever and I never had the heart to drag Colt along with me. So this is perfect. He doesn't have to suffer through it, I get to sing my heart out along with Celine. I cannot wait. Don't worry, I'll post pics. Maybe some videos too.

I'll share some of our fun since my last post. And I promise to post some good recipes soon--including Colt's V-Day lovin' recipe.

Drum Roll Please......

Okay. So I have some exciting news!
First of all, I'm 20 weeks into my pregnancy which means I'm half way there! The belly has definitely started to show itself and the baby has most definitely made it's territory known. I have started to feel the baby kick...a lot. It is the weirdest/coolest/craziest feeling ever. Some days, I look in the mirror at my big boobs (sorry, tmi, but seriously, first time I've ever had cleavage!), and my growing belly that isn't the most flattering thing and it honestly freaks me out to think I'm growing a human. A little tiny 12 oz human is inside my belly. It's just scary and cool and amazing all at once.
And, secondly, we have confirmed today with an AMAZING ultrasound that baby Rogers is a BOY!! We are so excited and cannot wait for the day when he gets here! Colt and I immediately went to Gap and bought the cutest little outfit. Red little jeans, and a white tee, and then the most softest cuddliest little sweatpants ever. Can't wait for a cute tiny body to fill them right up.
This has been a whirlwind of a month and days like today put life into perspective for you. The stress that I've been under has been insane and has quite honestly made me probably not the most fun to be around (sorry babe). But all of the moving and unpacking and buying and selling and money worries were all shoved aside and totally forgotten about when we were in the ultrasound room today looking at our baby boy squirm and toss and punch and chill. Ha it is truly truly an amazing feeling. I'm grateful to be reminded of the real-ness of life. This is what it's all about right?

On a totally different note, I have made a new nightly tradition--chocolate shakes. Oh em gee. Guys, if you aren't already doing this..you need to. It doesn't have to be a big chocolate shake, just a little bite and it tops your day off just mmmm. I highly recommend this for self-soothing.

I have kind of been thinking about sharing my awesome recipes with all of my 2 followers. Ha ha but really. I can't take credit for nearly half of them, but when I find a good one, I think it's worth sharing! Cause what is worse then making your grocery list and asking yourself, "what am I making for dinner this week?" right? I hate it. So I've decided that when I do make a good meal that is husband approved (and even if it's not) then I will most definitely share!
In the meantime, here are some recent pics of the baby bump and my niece's blessing and the babe Lars-head.
